We design for how buildings are actually built and used, which on industrial schemes usually means steel frames, ground-bearing slabs and foundations designed for the ground conditions and loads the site presents.

What we do
We handle steel frame design for industrial and commercial buildings, ground-bearing slabs and foundation design, retaining structures and site infrastructure, and the integration of office and ancillary spaces within larger industrial schemes. We coordinate with site layouts and the wider project team throughout, so that the structural package fits the scheme rather than creating coordination problems down the line.
On industrial projects in particular, the connection between structural design, steel fabrication and site construction is tight. Poorly coordinated drawings at any of those stages create delays that are difficult to recover. We produce packages that are detailed enough to go from design to fabrication to site without ambiguity.

get in touchMany of the commercial and industrial sites we work on involve the redevelopment of existing land, which brings its own structural considerations – existing ground conditions, previous foundations, levels and drainage that affect where and how a new structure can sit. We factor those constraints in early rather than treating the structural design as something separate from the site.
Where clients are planning future phases or want flexibility for change of use, we design with that in mind from the outset. Adaptability is easier and cheaper to build in at the start than to retrofit later.
